Lead joint product development for next-generation AI and rack-scale infrastructure at Supermicro.
Supermicro is looking for a highly technical and commercially sharp Staff Product Manager to own the full lifecycle of co-developed solutions with strategic alliance partners. This is a pure product-management role focused on defining strategy, driving collaborative engineering, managing complex technical integrations, and delivering high-performance rack-scale and AI-optimized systems that power the world’s most demanding data centers.
You will sit at the center of multi-company product programs—bridging Supermicro engineering teams with partner organizations to align architecture, interfaces, power, cooling, networking topologies, GPU platforms, and firmware. Success means shipping reliable, high-quality solutions on aggressive timelines while building scalable processes that the broader alliance portfolio can reuse.
Primary responsibilities
- Own end-to-end joint product initiatives: define vision and roadmaps, prioritize features, manage schedules and resources, and ensure on-time delivery of co-developed rack-scale and AI infrastructure solutions.
- Serve as the central product coordinator across company boundaries—facilitating technical alignment on GPU platforms, high-speed networking (including InfiniBand), thermal management, power delivery, and rack-level design.
- Lead joint technical review gates, validate design assumptions, map dependencies, and proactively mitigate risks related to compliance, interoperability, and performance.
- Oversee the transition from design into production, tracking technical milestones, change orders, and quality/reliability targets so that partnership commitments translate into shippable products.
- Create reusable governance frameworks, templates, and best practices that improve efficiency and consistency across Supermicro’s growing set of technology alliances.
Secondary commercial responsibilities
- Support senior sales and business-development leaders on strategic deals, helping articulate the technical and business value of Data Center Building Block Solutions to customer decision-makers.
- Engage directly with target accounts to understand infrastructure roadmaps, influence requirements, and position Supermicro + partner solutions as the preferred choice for AI and hyperscale needs.
- Build long-term trusted relationships with key stakeholders at both partner organizations and strategic customers.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical fluency in data-center and AI server architecture with strong organizational, influencing, and commercial skills.
Ideal background
- 12+ years of experience with a heavy emphasis on product management of complex data-center or AI infrastructure projects, including hands-on leadership of co-development or multi-party engineering programs.
- Deep working knowledge of data-center infrastructure (power, cooling, rack integration) and AI/HPC server architecture (GPU platforms, high-speed networking).
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across organizational boundaries and deliver against aggressive timelines.
- Experience structuring or managing alliance-based development agreements is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
- Exceptional organizational and project-management skills (PMP or equivalent a plus), strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and outstanding relationship-building and influencing abilities.
