Product Manager, AI Overviews/Mode Quality, Google Search

As a Product Manager focused on AI Overviews and AI Mode quality, you will help deliver the most helpful and trustworthy AI-powered responses using state-of-the-art models. Your work will make it easier for users worldwide to explore topics, understand complex subjects, and complete tasks efficiently while treating AI as a reliable thought partner.

In this role you will operate at the intersection of cutting-edge research, product strategy, and large-scale user experience. You will partner closely with Search Intelligence, Google DeepMind / Research, and a wide range of cross-functional teams to define the product direction for key modeling capabilities and quality improvements. The goal is to create more natural conversational experiences and unlock entirely new use cases that serve billions of people across more than 40 languages.

Core responsibilities include:

• Deeply understanding the competitive and evolving landscape of generative AI combined with Search products.
• Collaborating across Search Intelligence, research organizations, and cross-functional partners to shape product strategy for modeling improvements that increase helpfulness and reliability.
• Owning model evaluations, live experiments, and analysis of user feedback to surface win/loss patterns. Combining these insights with the latest user research to prioritize quality initiatives.
• Navigating the unique challenges of shipping generative AI experiences at global scale, including multilingual performance, consistency, and trustworthiness.
• Thriving in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift quickly as models and user expectations advance.

You will translate complex technical possibilities into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes. Success means users receive responses that feel accurate, useful, and respectful of their time—whether they are seeking a quick overview, deeper exploration, or help completing a multi-step task. You will help ensure AI Overviews and AI Mode continue to raise the bar for what Search can deliver.
