Principal Technical Product Manager – Agentic AI (Platform)

Job Description

Intuit is looking for a Principal Technical Product Manager to help shape the future of agentic AI across its Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) — the system that blends human expertise with AI to power products like QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mailchimp, and Credit Karma. This is a rare platform-level role for a PM who wants to architect the infrastructure that lets AI agents plan, reason, and act autonomously across a massive fintech ecosystem, rather than owning a single feature.

You'll be the product owner for the Agentic AI Platform — the reusable libraries, SDKs, and execution frameworks that let internal teams build, deploy, and manage intelligent agents without reinventing the wheel each time. Think of it as building the "rails" other product teams run their AI agents on.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the vision and roadmap for Intuit's core agentic execution platform, ensuring it's flexible enough to support many different product use cases across the company.
• Lead development of reusable agent libraries and SDKs that standardize how engineering teams build, deploy, and manage AI agents — directly improving developer velocity.
• Champion a "platform-first" architecture, defining requirements for extensible agent lifecycles, including hooks for custom logging, validation, decision review, and error handling.
• Drive product definition for advanced orchestration — enabling agents to break complex problems into logical, multi-step execution plans.
• Design strategies for agent observability and trust, ensuring execution paths can be traced, plans validated, and performance monitored at scale.
• Mentor other product managers on technical fluency and platform-first thinking, while influencing senior engineering and product leaders across the org.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience.
• Hands-on experience defining strategy for and shipping products built on LLM-based agentic systems or large-scale workflow orchestration.
• Strong technical fluency — comfortable going deep with engineering on framework design, API contracts, state management, and the AI agent software lifecycle.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts (execution loops, interception logic) into clear product requirements and executive-ready narratives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred

• MBA or an advanced technical degree.
• Experience shipping developer-facing platform tools or SDKs at enterprise scale.
• Background influencing roadmaps across multiple product teams simultaneously.
• A bias toward fast, data-informed decision-making in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
