Staff Product Manager, Cortex

Job Description

Robinhood is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead Cortex, its consumer-facing AI platform that helps millions of customers research investments, analyze portfolios, and trade through natural conversation. This role will drive Cortex's evolution from a research assistant into an AI that can reason, plan, and act on customers' behalf - across investing, spending, saving, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Cortex product roadmap end-to-end, from the core conversational experience to AI-powered financial planning and advice
• Drive technical direction alongside engineering leads on AI architecture, model strategy, and system design
• Build and evolve evaluation frameworks that measure AI quality, accuracy, and safety at scale
• Ship consumer experiences that drive adoption and retention
• Partner with Legal & Compliance to responsibly expand Cortex's capabilities
• Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, design, data science, compliance, and operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of consumer-facing product management, including 3+ years on AI/ML-powered products
• Deep fluency in LLM architectures, agentic systems, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Track record translating AI research and tooling advances into roadmap decisions
• Experience building AI evaluation frameworks that measure quality, accuracy, and safety at scale
• Proven ability to ship high-impact, user-facing AI product improvements
• Strong sense of urgency, high ownership, and comfort operating in ambiguity

Preferred

• Experience shipping AI products in financial services or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation and observability tooling
• Experience with agentic AI systems in production
• Background in financial advice, portfolio management, or wealth-tech products
