Job Description
Senior Product Manager, AI & Analytics
Join a high-impact product team inside Motorola Solutions’ Video Security & Access Control business that is actively reshaping physical security with advanced artificial intelligence. In this role you will own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for core AI and analytics capabilities across the Avigilon platform. You will operate with startup speed and autonomy while leveraging the scale and resources of a global enterprise.
Your primary mission is to turn cutting-edge research—computer vision, object detection, Vision-Language Models (VLMs), generative workflows, and agentic AI—into intuitive, high-value operator experiences that deliver measurable safety outcomes for customers worldwide. You will bridge the gap between AI research, platform engineering, and real-world security workflows, ensuring every capability solves genuine operational pain rather than existing as technology for its own sake.
What you will own and deliver
- Full ownership of assigned AI and analytics product areas, including outcome definition, continuous discovery, and roadmap prioritization in close partnership with AI research and engineering teams.
- Deep technical engagement on model accuracy, inference latency, compute-to-serve economics, edge-versus-cloud deployment trade-offs, and infrastructure scaling decisions.
- Rigorous customer discovery: field interviews, workflow observation, usage-data analysis, and synthesis of insights into clear problem statements and opportunity assessments.
- Cross-platform alignment so AI features feel native and unified across Video Management Software, Access Control, appliances, and devices.
- Definition and instrumentation of success metrics covering adoption, field accuracy, inference reliability at scale, engagement, and business impact.
- Partnership with Sales, Support, Training, and Product Marketing to drive clean launches, strong feedback loops, and effective customer enablement.
Ideal background and capabilities
- 5+ years of product management experience shipping software, cloud, or enterprise solutions, with a demonstrated track record of taking AI/ML capabilities from research into production at meaningful scale (thousands of users or high-volume streaming/inference workloads).
- Technical fluency in computer vision, deep learning, LLMs/VLMs, and analytics workflows sufficient to hold substantive conversations with researchers on deployment, optimization, and cost trade-offs.
- Proven continuous-discovery practice and ability to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into prioritized product strategy.
- Systems-level thinking about hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures, bandwidth constraints, and model distribution strategies.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and stakeholder-management skills that allow you to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams without formal authority.
What sets standout candidates apart
- Hands-on experience launching or scaling production systems that use Vision-Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Model Context Protocol, or multi-step agentic workflows.
- Ability to rapidly prototype AI-generated experiences to test hypotheses before full engineering investment.
- Prior work deploying computer-vision or video-analytics models inside physical-security, VMS, or IoT environments.
- Experience balancing cloud and on-premise deployments or managing edge-model distribution at scale.
This is an empowered product role. You will set outcomes, run discovery, make scope trade-offs, ship iteratively, and measure real-world impact. If you thrive at the intersection of advanced AI and mission-critical user workflows and want to shape how organizations protect people and places, this opportunity offers both strategic ownership and tangible scale.
Motorola Solutions is committed to building safer communities through technology. We value curiosity, rigorous thinking, and the ability to turn complex AI capabilities into products that operators trust every day.
