Job Description
About the Role
Pratt & Whitney's Digital Technology organization is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Owner to steer one or more digital products that support engineering, operations, and core business functions. This is a fully remote, U.S.-based opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and agile software delivery — translating stakeholder needs into a backlog that engineering teams can actually build against.
You'll act as the internal voice of the customer for a Digital Technology agile team, working shoulder-to-shoulder with architects, developers, and scrum masters to keep delivery predictable and aligned with company goals. If you enjoy shaping product direction and staying close to execution, this role sits right in that sweet spot.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the product vision and roadmap for one or more digital products, tying priorities back to Digital Technology strategy and enterprise architecture standards
- Serve as the primary business liaison between stakeholders and the agile delivery team, making sure priorities and customer needs are clearly understood
- Build and groom the product backlog — writing epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
- Partner closely with scrum masters, developers, architects, and subject-matter experts during sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to validate requirements and keep solutions grounded in real business processes
- Ensure every release meets governance, cybersecurity, and data/cloud platform standards, along with relevant regulatory requirements
- Run sprint reviews, demos, and stakeholder check-ins to keep everyone aligned and gather ongoing feedback
- Track product health, adoption, and performance metrics to spot opportunities for improvement
- Support rollout planning, change management, and user enablement so new releases actually get adopted
- Apply CORE continuous-improvement practices to keep delivery efficient and reliable
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 10+ years of relevant experience — or an advanced degree with 7+ years
- 5+ years in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Digital Technology, or a related IT function
- Hands-on experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum or SAFe)
- Proven ability to turn business needs into clear, technically sound user stories
- Comfortable operating across matrixed, cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills
Preferred
- Background supporting digital products within aerospace, manufacturing, or another regulated industry
- Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney's internal systems or functional workflows
- CSPO or SAFe POPM certification (or equivalent)
- Exposure to Azure/AWS, enterprise platforms like SAP, PLM, or MES, or analytics/data tooling
- Experience with ACE, CORE, or other continuous-improvement methodologies
- Strengths in customer focus, strategic thinking, technical acumen, and decision-making under ambiguity
