Job Description
Lam Research is hiring a Product Manager 5 to own product lifecycle management for its etch and deposition semiconductor equipment portfolio in Fremont, CA.
This is a senior, highly cross-functional PM role spanning the full product lifecycle - from strategy and roadmap definition through production release, field support, and end-of-life. You'll be the single accountable leader aligning Engineering, Technology, Marketing, and Operations around product decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain product roadmap, strategy, and vision based on customer needs, market trends, and Lam's business objectives
- Author vision statements and product requirements documents; maintain them under revision control throughout the development cycle
- Drive product development execution via the PDR process; lead cross-functional teams (CFTs) on escalations including safety and field issues
- Own the Product Option Architecture (POA) - define what's offered for sale, approve product changes, and manage BOM change orders and NSRs
- Manage financial reserves (E/OCOGS) for field enhancements and issue remediation
- Monitor and manage product cost in collaboration with supply chain and engineering
- Lead Unreleased Build Plan process: capture early forecasts, submit DMRFs, approve Critical Design Reviews
- Mentor less experienced Product Managers in the role
Requirements:
- 12+ years of related experience (Bachelor's); 8+ years (Master's); or 5+ years (PhD)
- 5+ years of applicable PM experience; semiconductor capital equipment background preferred
- Familiarity with wafer handling and/or mechatronics systems a plus
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
