About the Role

Nike is hiring a Principal Technical Product Manager to sit inside Consumer Product & Innovation (CP&I), the technology group that powers Nike's design, merchandising, and product creation engine. This is a senior individual-contributor role — you won't be managing a team, but you'll be expected to set direction and raise the bar for product managers across the org through influence, technical depth, and consistent execution.

You'll own one or more technical products that sit at the heart of Nike's Design function, working across Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories. The role blends long-range strategic thinking — building a multi-year roadmap — with the discipline to ship measurable outcomes every quarter.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the long-term vision, roadmap, and technical evolution for one or more Design-facing products used across Nike's global product creation process
• Partner directly with Design leadership to translate business strategy into a prioritized, outcomes-driven roadmap
• Champion the product vision in front of senior Design and Global Technology leadership
• Lead product discovery end-to-end — from functional and technical design through delivery, rollout, and change management
• Work closely with Architecture and Engineering teams to align on key technical design decisions
• Coordinate roadmap trade-offs with peer product teams across CP&I and represent the platform in cross-org and global forums
• Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners, helping shape their roadmaps around Nike's needs
• Actively bring emerging technology — Generative AI, Agentic AI, and 3D tooling — into the product roadmap where it creates real value
• Own adoption and value tracking, holding the product accountable to clear business metrics and KPIs
• Provide informal mentorship to other product managers across CP&I, sharing product craft and best practice

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of product management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (advanced degree preferred)
• Deep subject-matter expertise in design tooling — 2D/3D platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, CLO, and AI-assisted design tools
• Track record of building complex, multi-year product roadmaps with clear measurement frameworks and demonstrated business impact
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority over them
• Comfort learning and navigating large, complex enterprise systems quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the interpersonal range to work across design, engineering, and executive audiences
• Hands-on experience with agile delivery frameworks — SAFe, Kanban, and Scrum

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to applying AI/ML and Generative AI inside enterprise product workflows
• Background in consumer, footwear, apparel, or broader retail product environments
• Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations with distributed stakeholders
