Principal Product Manager – Physical Interconnection

As Principal Product Manager for Equinix's Physical Interconnection Portfolio, you will lead end-to-end product strategy, roadmap definition, and execution for core physical interconnection capabilities - spanning cloud networking, hybrid multi-cloud connectivity, and AI agentic networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the product vision and long-term roadmap for Physical Interconnection products (Cross Connects, Metro Connect, Fiber Connect), aligned with company strategy and customer needs
• Identify market opportunities in cloud networking, AI networking, ecosystem expansion, and distributed architectures
• Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and investment plans for market expansion and new capabilities
• Drive product requirements, feature prioritization, and backlog management with engineering teams
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable product requirements and user experiences
• Guide cross-functional teams through design, development, launch, and iteration
• Engage with enterprise, cloud, network, AI, and digital service provider customers to understand use cases, pain points, and emerging trends
• Partner with customer-success and field teams to support strategic customer conversations
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, security, legal, and go-to-market teams
• Enable sales and marketing teams with product positioning, messaging, and collateral
• Define KPIs and success metrics to measure product performance and adoption
• Analyze product and usage data to inform roadmap decisions and optimizations

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in cloud/AI networking, service provider networking, hybrid multicloud, interconnection, or related domains
• Strong technical understanding of Layer 1, 2 & 3 networking fundamentals
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud networking services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
• Experience with global and regional carrier network and fiber strategies
• Experience with pricing analysis and market growth strategies
• Ability to synthesize technical concepts into customer and business value
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience working with global engineering and cross-functional teams

Preferred

• Experience with interconnection platforms, carrier networking, or digital exchange services
• Exposure to ML/AI-based networking optimizations
• MBA or background in strategy, business, or entrepreneurship
