Job Description
Cisco ThousandEyes is hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy for AI-powered use cases across Cisco Networking. ThousandEyes is a Digital Assurance platform that helps organizations deliver flawless digital experiences across every network - powered by AI, cloud telemetry, and internet visibility data.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the use case strategy - curate and prioritize the AI use case portfolio across product lines, deciding what ships, what gets deferred, and what actually matters to customers
- Aggregate intelligence across domains - synthesize adoption data, customer feedback, competitive signals, and engineering capabilities into a unified product view
- Drive go-to-market - own the GTM narrative for Cisco Networking's AI capabilities, coordinate launches, and define positioning and messaging frameworks
- Shape the external narrative - author the product story for executive leadership, Gartner analyst engagements, and customer-facing presentations including Cisco Live
- Define agent taxonomy and messaging - frame how agentic capabilities are communicated externally, grounded in what's actually shipping
- Bridge networking and central AI - own the cross-BU relationship with Cisco's Central AI organization and advocate for networking-specific requirements
- Drive customer adoption - engage directly with enterprise customers to validate use cases and define the path from early availability to GA
- Build coalitions - align stakeholders across GTM, field sales, analyst relations, CX, and engineering for a coherent AI story
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience shipping enterprise or SaaS software products, ideally in networking, cloud, or monitoring
- Strong GTM instincts - able to turn technical capabilities into customer-facing stories that sell
- Experience with AI/ML technologies including large language models and agentic architectures
- Ability to synthesize across multiple product lines into a unified narrative and roadmap
- Excellent written and verbal communication - comfortable briefing a Gartner analyst, a CIO, and engineering leadership in the same week
- Experience navigating matrixed organizations and building cross-functional coalitions
- Strong ownership mindset - you organize the meetings, write the first draft, and make the call
- Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or equivalent
Preferred
- Advanced degree (Master's or MBA)
- Experience with field sales, analyst relations, and marketing
- Familiarity with multi-agent systems and agentic product architectures
- Background in networking, cybersecurity, or observability platforms
