About the Role

Lyra Health is looking for a Lead Product Manager, Data and AI to steer the company's data and artificial intelligence roadmap. This is a senior, high-visibility position where you'll shape how machine learning and generative AI capabilities get built, tested, and scaled across the platform — turning company data into a strategic asset that improves clinical operations, sharpens the member experience, and strengthens Lyra's competitive edge in the mental health tech space.

You'll sit at the center of the product organization, setting the long-range vision for AI and data initiatives while working hands-on with Data Engineering, Data Science, AI Infrastructure, and ML Engineering teams. Because Lyra operates in healthcare, every capability you ship needs to hold up against rigorous clinical evidence standards, strong data governance, and responsible AI principles — this isn't a "move fast and skip the guardrails" AI role.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year data & AI roadmap — define and evangelize a product vision for Lyra's data and AI platforms that ties directly to business growth, revenue targets, and clinical outcomes.
• Drive generative AI and LLM initiatives end-to-end — take agentic AI, large language model, and advanced analytics opportunities from early experimentation through full production deployment.
• Lead across a wide stakeholder map — partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Clinical Quality, and Go-to-Market teams to weave intelligent AI features directly into member-facing experiences and internal operations.
• Champion responsible AI practices — work closely with Legal, Privacy, and Clinical leadership to keep every AI capability ethically sound and compliant.
• Build measurement frameworks that matter — design experimentation systems (including online A/B testing) to track model performance, prove business impact, and balance short-term execution against longer-term research bets.
• Translate ambiguity into clear specs — turn messy, real-world business and clinical problems into precise product requirements that both engineers and non-technical leaders can act on.
• Mentor and set the bar — model strong product practices for more junior PMs and help build a culture that's genuinely data-driven, not just data-aware.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similarly quantitative discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive product management experience in enterprise SaaS, cloud software, or health tech, with a track record of shipping large, dependency-heavy products.
• 3+ years directly shipping machine learning and data-driven products at scale, with real depth in modern ML algorithms, deep learning, generative AI use cases, and the infrastructure required to run LLMs in production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — the ability to make complex algorithmic trade-offs land with both engineering teams and executive or enterprise-customer audiences.
• A proven ability to operate calmly inside ambiguity: setting boundaries, resolving competing priorities, and keeping execution moving in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Experience working inside a highly regulated industry (healthcare tech or fintech), with genuine respect for data ethics, privacy law, and clinical quality standards.
