Job Description
Accruent, a Fortive company, is looking for a Director, Product Management to steer the product direction for its Maintenance Management and Mobile Workforce Management lines. You'll report to the General Manager of the Asset Solutions Group and work hand-in-hand with the Chief Product & Technology Officer to turn business goals into a roadmap that actually moves the needle for customers.
This isn't a "manage the backlog" job. You'll be setting direction for a team of product managers, making the tough calls on where engineering time goes, and standing in front of executives to defend those calls with real customer and market evidence.
What You'll Own
- Portfolio strategy: Shape where the Maintenance and Field products go next, balancing new feature bets against the unglamorous but necessary work of modernization and technical debt.
- Team leadership: Hire, coach, and grow a global team of product managers, building a culture that rewards sound judgment over feature-shipping for its own sake.
- Roadmap and investment calls: Build the frameworks that decide what gets funded, and defend those trade-offs to engineering, marketing, and the executive team.
- Customer and market intelligence: Get close to the field — direct customer conversations, win/loss reviews, competitive research — and turn what you learn into product bets, not just talking points.
- Cross-functional alignment: Be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success so nobody's rowing in a different direction.
- Go-to-market partnership: Work with commercial teams on positioning, packaging, and how new releases get communicated to existing customers.
- Lifecycle ownership: Guide products from early planning through to sunset decisions, always weighing near-term customer needs against where the portfolio needs to be in two years.
- Executive communication: Translate roadmap trade-offs and portfolio performance into something a CPO can act on in fifteen minutes.
Requirements
- 10+ years in product management within B2B SaaS or enterprise software, including 5+ years leading and developing product managers directly.
- A track record of connecting customer signals, competitive intelligence, and business goals into a roadmap people can actually execute against.
- Solid grounding in SaaS economics — what drives retention, expansion, and durable growth.
- The ability to get executives and cross-functional leaders aligned even when their priorities don't naturally overlap.
- Comfort moving between big-picture strategy and the operational grind of actually shipping.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA a plus.
Preferred
- Background in maintenance management, field service, asset management, or facilities software.
- Experience leading a legacy-to-cloud modernization effort.
- Exposure to product-led growth motions or managing a multi-product platform.
- Comfortable with both on-prem and SaaS delivery models, including migration strategy.
Job Benefits
Accruent, backed by Fortive, invests in the kind of growth support that keeps senior product leaders around for the long haul:
- Bonus and/or equity as part of total compensation
- Backing from Fortive's continuous-improvement business system (FBS) for leadership development
- Structured coaching and career-growth support ("Grow Without Limits") for people leaders
- A genuinely global team to lead — exposure across markets, not just one region
