Director, Cisco Silicon Product Manager – Scale Across/WAN

Job Description

Cisco is hiring a Director-level Product Manager for its Silicon division to lead product definition for AI-based Data Center Interconnect and WAN deep buffer systems - shaping next-generation petabytes-scale interconnect solutions across long-distance networks.

• Key Responsibilities
• Drive multi-functional system-inspired silicon requirements for AI-based DCI and WAN deep buffer systems
• Champion the definition of silicon for chassis solutions and distributed Ethernet-based next-generation deep buffer systems
• Shape Cisco's and the industry's vision for petabytes interconnect, DCI, and WAN routing; influence industry standards
• Build trusted relationships with hyperscalers, service providers, and enterprise customers through Cisco Business Units
• Drive industry collaborative problem-solving for critical DCI/WAN challenges
• Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across silicon, optics, software, systems, and Cisco Business Units
• Articulate sophisticated technical details clearly for diverse audiences at organizational and market levels

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 15+ years of experience defining products, architectures, or systems within DCI, WAN routing, service provider, or hyperscale networking
• Experience with DCI, WAN routing protocols, deep buffer systems, chassis system technologies, and distributed Ethernet architectures
• Experience leading product definition cycles and running stage-gate processes
• Proven track record of end-to-end product definition with consistent milestone delivery

Preferred

• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience integrating market, technology, and business signals into prioritized product roadmaps
• Current knowledge of DCI/WAN technologies and supply chain trends, with demonstrated collaboration with hyperscalers and major industry partners
