Job Description

Product Lead, AI at Stripe is a senior leadership role on the Payments Intelligence team. You will drive the product vision for AI and machine learning-powered solutions that optimize billions of dollars in transactions daily. This role focuses on building intelligent features that help merchants maximize revenue, minimize payment costs and fraud, while delivering exceptional user experiences through products like Radar, Authorization Boost, and Disputes. As a Product Lead, you’ll combine deep technical understanding with business strategy to shape Stripe’s intelligence platform at global scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term vision and strategy for Payments Intelligence products, including prioritization and detailed execution roadmaps.
• Deeply understand customer needs by engaging directly with developers, sales, support teams, and analyzing feedback, market trends, and data patterns.
• Scope, design, and launch high-impact AI/ML capabilities and new products that deliver significant value to Stripe’s users.
• Set the pace for prioritization, execution, and delivery while working closely with cross-functional teams of engineers and data scientists.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Operations to craft compelling product experiences.
• Own complex technical and product problems across infrastructure/platform systems and user-facing features.
• Build, coach, and mentor a team of Product Managers on best practices for requirements definition and roadmap delivery.
• Drive measurable business outcomes focused on successful transactions, fraud reduction, and cost optimization.

Requirements (Minimum)

• 10+ years of relevant Product Management experience.
• 4+ years of experience managing Product Managers.
• Strong business acumen with proven ability to analyze business operations and build technical/product solutions.
• Customer and partner-facing experience, with comfort leading conversations with external stakeholders.
• Operational excellence in designing and driving cross-functional processes and teams.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to dive deep into data and reason from first principles.
• Crisp, precise communication skills for both internal alignment and external customer/partner interactions.
• Results-oriented mindset with a track record of executing complex, multi-quarter projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in payments, fintech, financial infrastructure, or adjacent domains (e-commerce platforms, risk/intelligence systems).
• Background working with AI/ML products or large-scale data platforms.
• Demonstrated success shipping products that handle high transaction volumes where reliability, latency, and basis-point impact matter.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• Prior experience in high-growth technology companies or platforms serving global businesses.
