Director of Product Management – AI Observability

Job Description

Datadog is hiring a Director of Product Management to lead its AI Observability portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role for a builder-minded product leader who wants to shape how organizations build, monitor, and scale AI systems in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the vision and strategy for AI Observability products including LLM Observability, GPU Monitoring, Distributed AI Monitoring, and Model Lab
• Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, supporting their growth and career development
• Partner with engineering, design, data science, marketing, and sales to deliver AI-powered product solutions
• Define and manage AI product roadmaps, balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals
• Identify and drive new opportunities for AI product innovation from concept to execution
• Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand pain points and validate product decisions
• Drive data-driven decision-making in collaboration with analytics and data science teams
• Foster a culture of innovation and product excellence across the organization

Requirements

• Proven experience in AI product management with a track record of delivering AI-driven products
• Deep technical knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data science - with the ability to translate these into product experiences
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring product teams
• Strong ability to prioritize and deliver complex product roadmaps
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows and validate AI-generated output

Preferred

• Experience building AI-enabled products or working on AI-powered software engineering workflows
• Motivated to push the boundaries of AI in software engineering best practices
