Senior Product Manager – Apptio Platform

Job Description

IBM is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead the vision and strategy for the Apptio Platform - a set of composable services that power IBM's entire Apptio product portfolio. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, and business operations.

You will own the platform roadmap end-to-end, working across Engineering, Sales, Support, and Marketing to align platform capabilities with company goals - and demonstrate measurable value from platform investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for Apptio's platform, translating it into clear tactical deliverables - including data ingress/egress strategy, provisioning, metering, access management, and integration with billing, PRM, and back-office systems
• Partner across Engineering, Sales, Support, and Marketing to gather feedback, refine strategy, and drive feature adoption
• Define detailed product requirements that enable the Platform Engineering team to build services leveraged across Apptio products
• Serve as internal SME helping other product teams understand how to leverage and integrate platform services

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Product Management experience managing foundational platforms for Enterprise SaaS in B2B environments
• Expertise in Enterprise Architecture frameworks covering business functions like lead-to-order, quote-to-cash, and issue-to-resolution
• Experience implementing and integrating PRM/CRM and ERP systems covering configuration/quoting, order management, provisioning, invoicing, billing, and master data management
• Strong technical acumen with cloud-based architectures and exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or IBM Cloud
• Deep knowledge of subscription metering and billing for Enterprise SaaS using platforms like SAP BRIM, Zuora, or Oracle EBS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable language

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Cloud Billing and Cost Optimization
