Job Description
About the Role
Chase Auto is looking for a Product Manager, Vice President to help steer how the bank's auto-lending business shows up for customers, dealers, and manufacturing partners alike. This is a leadership seat inside a team built to sit right at the crossroads of product, technology, and customer experience — not a back-office planning role, but one where decisions you make land directly in front of real car buyers and the dealerships that serve them.
You'll be stepping into a business that touches millions of auto financing relationships every year, which means the stakes for getting the experience right — for customers signing a loan, for OEM partners integrating with Chase systems, and for dealers managing inventory and financing on the ground — are genuinely high. The team is small enough that your fingerprints will be on the roadmap, and large enough that you'll have real resources and senior visibility to execute against it.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Own outcomes, not just backlogs. You'll run the full arc from early discovery and data-informed decision-making through to a shipped feature and its post-launch performance — accountable for whether it actually moved the needle, not just whether it shipped.
- Modernize how customers, dealers, and OEMs experience Chase Auto. That spans everything from the digital tools a dealer uses to structure financing, to how a manufacturer's systems talk to Chase's, to what a customer sees when they're deciding how to pay for their next car.
- Run multiple strategic workstreams at once. You won't be managing one tidy initiative — you'll be juggling several in parallel, each with its own stakeholders, timeline, and definition of success.
- Be the connective tissue across a wide ecosystem. Expect regular contact with senior leaders across the Auto business, technology partners, vendors, and dealer-facing teams — translating between groups that don't always speak the same language.
- Spot where the business is leaking efficiency. Part of the mandate is actively hunting for places where processes, tooling, or workflows can be standardized, simplified, or scaled — and building the business case to fix them.
- Think in systems, not features. You'll need to articulate how a given solution fits the whole ecosystem — compliance, operations, technology, customer experience — not just the one team asking for it.
- Train and align the room. From internal stakeholders to third-party vendors, you'll run sessions that keep everyone — including non-technical partners — on the same page as things evolve.
- Keep the business audit-ready. Chase operates under a strict compliance and risk framework, and part of the job is making sure product decisions hold up against that bar by default, not as an afterthought.
What You Bring
- A track record as a self-starter who can drive a strategic vision forward without waiting for permission at every step, while still leading well across a mixed, multi-disciplinary team.
- Sharp stakeholder management instincts — the organizational skill to operate inside a complex matrixed structure, break ambitious goals into achievable deliverables, and actually land them.
- The communication range to brief a senior executive in two minutes and walk a vendor team through implementation detail an hour later — without losing precision in either direction.
- Direct experience owning customer-facing product strategy, from early-stage roadmap thinking through to a live initiative.
- A history of resolving conflict and driving alignment under pressure, with delivery timelines that don't bend just because stakeholders disagree.
- Working fluency in customer experience analytics and agile delivery tooling (think JIRA, Confluence), plus comfort operating inside a formal product operating model.
- Proven success navigating a large, matrixed organization — collaborating credibly across functions that don't report to you.
Nice to Have
- Prior product management title or equivalent scope of ownership.
- Solid grounding in how modern financial-services technology stacks and business processes fit together.
- Exposure to applying AI inside the product lifecycle — particularly around automating story-writing or acceptance testing to speed up delivery.
- A bachelor's or master's degree (preferred, not required).
If you've shipped real products in a complex, highly regulated environment and want the scale of a business like Chase Auto behind your next move, this is a seat worth applying for.
