Job Description
About the Role
T-Mobile is looking for a Senior Product Manager to sit at the intersection of data and product strategy within its Product Development organization. This is a role built for someone who is comfortable translating messy, multi-source data into decisions that move the business — and who can speak fluently to both engineers building the pipelines and executives reading the dashboards. You'll be the person leadership turns to when they need to know why the numbers look the way they do, not just what the numbers say.
The role is based out of T-Mobile's Bellevue, Washington headquarters on a hybrid schedule, with on-site presence expected three to four days a week. It's a senior, highly visible position with a compensation band of $196,914–$201,914 annually, reflecting the depth of experience T-Mobile is looking for.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the data strategy conversation: Scout out new, previously untapped data sources — internal and external — that can sharpen T-Mobile's strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
- Translate numbers into narrative: Package findings into clear, leadership-ready reports that explain not just results, but the drivers behind them.
- Prioritize with intent: Evaluate competing business needs, rank reporting projects by impact, and push new analytics requirements through to completion.
- Architect for scale: Partner cross-functionally to shape data architecture and pipelines that actually serve the business's analytics and reporting needs — not just what's technically convenient.
- Hold the line on quality: Keep requirements tight and ensure every deliverable lands exactly where the business asked it to.
- Build the dashboards that matter: Design and maintain analytical dashboards and visualizations in Power BI and Tableau that leadership actually opens and uses.
- Be the team's go-to analytical voice: Operate as a subject-matter authority on complex ad-hoc research and analysis requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or a related field, plus 7 years of relevant work experience — or a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in the same fields plus 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven hands-on experience extracting, engineering, and preparing analytical datasets using SQL, Snowflake, and Databricks, including cleansing, transformation, and feature-building work that feeds downstream reporting.
- Strong track record building interactive Power BI dashboards — DAX calculations, custom measures, drill-through views, and automated refresh pipelines included.
- Experience running ETL and data-integration work across multiple internal and external sources, with a sharp eye for data quality and enterprise readiness.
- Comfort with forecasting and statistical modeling using Python, SQL, and Excel — moving averages, simple and multiple regression, and robustness testing among them.
- Demonstrated ability to turn vague business asks into concrete specs: wireframes, KPI definitions, data-validation steps, and realistic analytics roadmaps.
- Experience running exploratory, diagnostic, and trend analysis that leadership can act on — not just read.
Preferred
- A background that spans both the technical data-engineering side and the stakeholder-facing product side — this role rewards people who can do both well, not specialists in only one.
- Prior experience in telecom, subscription, or large-scale consumer tech, where reporting needs change fast and stakes are high.
- A portfolio of dashboards or analytics products that measurably changed how a leadership team made decisions.
Job Benefits
T-Mobile backs this role with a Total Rewards package built to cover far more than base pay:
- Competitive base salary plus annual stock grant — every employee is treated as an owner.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and 401(k) with company support.
- Free, year-round access to financial coaching.
- Eligibility for an annual performance bonus, in addition to the stock grant.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a flexible spending account.
- Paid time off and up to 12 paid holidays — roughly 4 weeks total for new full-time employees.
- Paid parental and family leave, family-building benefits, back-up care, and a childcare subsidy.
- Tuition assistance and college coaching for continued education.
- Short- and long-term disability, voluntary life, AD&D, and long-term care insurance options.
