Job Description
Accenture is building out a new line of agentic software products for the industries it has spent decades serving — and it's looking for a Product Manager who has already taken a product from zero to one and owns what agentic AI actually changes about how work gets done. This isn't a consulting, program-management, or product-owner role: it's a seat on a small, permanent product team with real autonomy over outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Find the real problem. Dig into customer workflows directly with design partners, domain experts, and sales teams to separate genuine, repeatable demand from one-off requests or internal hype.
- Set the product bet. Define what the product does, who it's for, and — just as importantly — what the team won't build. Turn messy opportunities into a focused thesis a small team can actually ship.
- Design for agentic behavior, not AI as a bolt-on. Work with engineering and design on how the agent reasons, acts, handles uncertainty, and knows when to hand control back to a human.
- Move fast from problem to product. Prototype early, validate with design partners, and use working software — not decks — to learn what's true.
- Own the whole experience. Push for quality across the entire customer journey, including how trustworthy and reliable the AI output actually feels in practice.
- Prove commercial value. Test desirability, usability, and willingness to pay with real design partners before calling anything "market-ready."
- Stay accountable after launch. Track adoption, retention, and quality signals — not just whether the roadmap got delivered.
- Use AI as a daily tool, not a topic. Apply it to your own research, synthesis, and documentation, while staying accountable for the judgment behind the final call.
- Raise the bar for the team. Help other PMs sharpen their product instincts and contribute to how the broader product org operates.
Requirements
- 8+ years in product management, with real ownership of enterprise software or digital platforms from concept through launch and growth
- 2+ years of hands-on work building or managing AI-native products — not just AI-adjacent projects
- 2+ years defining products built on LLMs, AI agents, retrieval systems, or workflow automation
- 2+ years evaluating AI product performance: model limitations, reliability, cost, and operational risk
- 8+ years working closely with engineers and designers to ship production-quality software
- 8+ years running customer discovery, stakeholder interviews, or market validation
- 8+ years setting strategy, roadmaps, and trade-offs in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- 8+ years presenting strategy and performance to executives and customers
- 8+ years operating independently with real accountability in high-growth settings
- Bachelor's degree, or 12+ years of equivalent work experience (6+ years with an Associate's degree)
