About the Role

MuleSoft — the integration and API management engine behind Salesforce's push into the "Agent-Integrated Enterprise" — is hiring a Product Manager for its Developer Experience & Platform team. This team builds the everyday toolkit that developers and platform engineers rely on to design, secure, and scale enterprise integrations: SDKs, runtimes, APIs, and the interfaces that sit on top of them.

This isn't a role where you write requirements and disappear until launch day. You'll be hands-on from day one — running spikes, standing up proofs of concept, demoing across the platform, and using AI-assisted coding tools to move fast on your own explorations before engineering ever touches them.

What You'll Own

• Roadmap & Lifecycle Ownership: Drive the end-to-end plan for a meaningful slice of MuleSoft's developer tooling, API management surface, or core platform infrastructure.
• Developer-First Discovery: Sit directly with developers, architects, and platform engineers to surface friction points and translate them into product bets.
• Rapid Prototyping: Build your own proofs of concept, stress-test your assumptions, and write specs that are grounded in something you've actually tried.
• AI-Native Workflow: Use tools like Claude Code and Copilot as a genuine force multiplier — for prototyping, demo-building, and exploring technical directions before committing engineering time.
• Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner tightly with Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Support to land features that actually get adopted.

What You'll Need

For Senior Product Manager consideration:

• 5+ years in product management, ideally on developer-facing infrastructure, APIs, SaaS platforms, or cloud runtimes
• A demonstrated ability to run a multi-quarter roadmap independently and arbitrate competing enterprise demands

For Product Manager consideration:

• 3+ years of PM experience — or an equivalent blend of PM work and deep technical roles such as Software Engineer, Integration Architect, or Solutions Architect
• A shipped track record: owning a backlog and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering in an agile environment

Core Technical Bar (All Levels)

• Solid grounding in APIs and modern integration patterns — REST, GraphQL, gRPC, event-driven architecture
• Comfort with cloud fundamentals: SaaS architecture, control-plane/data-plane separation, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
• A genuine builder's instinct — you'd rather prototype something than write a slide about it
• Strong storytelling instincts — you can explain why a decision was made to engineers, designers, and executives alike, in language each group actually uses
• Active curiosity about AI-assisted development tooling as an accelerant, not a novelty
• A related technical degree

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on time with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, or a comparable platform such as Apigee, Kong, Boomi, or AWS Gateway
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, or formal SDLC practice
• A background designing developer-facing interfaces — CLIs, developer portals, or similar surfaces
